LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO MY FRIENDS!

I’ve written a lot of things over the years but few I am more proud of than these children’s books. I’ve spent a lot of time with these characters and am so ready for you to meet and play with Regan, Ray & Kay. And NOW Kate & Nate have joined the FUN too!!

Inspired by Notre Dame’s legendary basketball coach Muffet McGraw, The Move With Muffet series is the perfect introduction to team sports. The series uses bright, active illustrations and fun rhyming text to engage young readers and their parents. Ray and Kay introduce your littlest athlete to over 20 different team sports and get them excited about PLAYING. This little book is chock full of reasons to join a team, play a game and have some FUN. Kate and Nate builds on the concepts of play and fun to help children embrace the process of learning new skills and being a great teammate. Hardwork, resilience, and building confidence as a young athlete are the main ideas. And because they’ll ask for it to be read again & again, you can have great conversations on diffferent topics each time.

Regan’s third grade teacher throws her for a loop when she hands out toolkits for homework. Your child can figure out along with Regan how a battery, rubber band, map & net can make school and life a little bit easier. They’ll learn all about the growth mindset without even realizing it. Perfect for grades K-3.

THERE’S A PODCAST TOO (for slightly older children)!

During the pandemic of 2020-2021, some people got a puppy but I got a podcast!

On The Open Book Test Podcast, I interviewed my former Mendoza College of Business students about their journeys into, through and out of the college of business. I hoped by sharing their experiences, insights and hard-earned wisdom, those following in their footsteps will make more informed, intentional, and confident decisions about majors & careers and help reduce the stress & anxiety that come with big decisions. My guests had 2-10 years of work experience under their belts and many had changed jobs at least once. They also had the one thing even the smartest college student lacks…perspective! They were incredibly generous with their time and their candor. There’s something that will resonate from every episode.

SCHOOL VISITS

You better believe I am ready for school visits.

I live, as I like to say, in the shadow of the Golden Dome so if you’re in the Greater Michiana area we should definitely talk.

But I also like to visit my friends and family around the country so you should always ask if we can make this happen.

(ALWAYS) IRREGULAR (& OFTEN) IRREVERENT RAMBLINGS

This is where you’ll find my wildly inconsistent blogging efforts. I include it because there’s a better version of me that is going to post more regularly, but it’s anybody’s guess when or if she’ll actually show up. My contrarian nature likes to keep you guessing. Please bear with me. Or don’t. Your choice. 😉
